Q: I'm brand new to Fusion - where do I start?

Welcome! We are passionate about helping you succeed - please reach out if you have further questions.

Before your first class, create an account online and make a class reservation to ensure you have a spot in class and also childcare if you are bringing your kiddos. We always take walk-ins if there is room, but some of our classes and childcares do fill up. You'll want to bring a towel, yoga mat and water bottle to every class - if you forget your mat we do have them to rent for $2 and also have towels and water bottles for sale.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can get to know you, introduce you to your instructor and help you set up your spot. Just stop at the front desk when you get to the studio so we can check you into class and get you ready to go. We look forward to sweating with you!

Q:  As a newbie, what class should I start with?

You’re welcome to start with any class, we have too much fun to have a lot of tight rules! If you’re looking for high energy cardio, check out any of our classes that say ‘wear sneakers’ on the schedule or any of our Fusion Fly indoor cycle classes. Looking for a full body toning & muscle sculpting hour? Come to the classes we started with – Fusion, Barre Intensity, and Fusion Mix - and our newest low impact cardio class, A-List. These will introduce you to the Fusion Fitness style and give you a good idea of what we’re all about.

In all classes, feel free to modify moves and go at your own pace - as long as you are challenging yourself and pushing beyond your comfort zone, you are doing it right. We recommend trying a variety of classes and instructors to find your favorites, and also trying something new each week! Our bodies love a good challenge and mixing up the types of workouts you're doing along with your instructor ensures you will continually Shock Your Body.

Q: What should I wear and expect at class?

Wear what makes you feel comfortable! See our list of class descriptions for classes that require sneakers – you do not need socks for our barre classes. All of our studio and spin classes require a yoga mat, and you’ll also want a water bottle and sweat towel (yes, seriously, you will need a sweat towel!)

Expect a full body workout, lots of sweat, and lots of smiles when it’s over (and the desire to come back soon!) Our classes are intense and offer a challenge to any fitness level – whether this is the first time you’ve walked through our studio door or you’re a marathon runner. Check out class descriptions for more details on specific classes.

Q: When is childcare offered?

We are happy to offer childcare for most day classes and some evenings - be sure to check the schedule to make sure it is available (and make a reservation) before you come. We are allow 14 kiddos per session so sometimes it does fill up. Like classes, walk-ins are allowed as long as we have the room! ($4 per child or $30 for a 10-pack.)

Q: Do I have to sign up ahead of time?

It is highly recommended that you sign up for studio and spin classes as well as childcare ahead of time by registering online. Walk-ins are welcome, but only if the class is not already full.

Q: I registered for a class and it put me on the waitlist. Now what?

You will get an email when you’re added to the class – our waitlists move fast so you have an excellent chance of getting in. When you receive the email, you have a spot in class – no need to confirm. Please make sure to cancel your wait list reservation if you’re no longer able to attend class – we work hard at trying to get everyone in! Our waitlist cancellation policy is: if you are added from the waitlist 2 or more hours in advance (or before 10p the night before for 5a, 5:30a, and 6a classes) – you are responsible for your spot as a normal reservation and subject to the late cancel/no show fee. If you are added after these times you will not be charged a fee.

Q: I missed (or late cancelled) a class – will I be charged??

Yes - all no shows and late cancels are subject to being charged $10. Our policy is: all classes must be cancelled at least 2 hours in advance, except 5a, 5:30a, 6a, and ALL spin classes must be cancelled at least 12 hours in advance. Thanks for understanding as we want everyone who possibly can get a workout in with us to have a chance to do so!

Q: Do you have locker rooms?

We have plenty of space to change clothes before and after class but we currently do not have showers. We do have lockers at our Corbin Park studio and cubbies at Mission Farms and Overland Park.

Q: Where do I park?

Overland Park studio: Park in the lot west of the studio near the Rio Theatre. For the Mission Farms studio in Leawood at 105th and Mission Road, feel free to park anywhere within the Mission Farms parking lot. At our downtown KCMO location street parking is available just on the west side of Grand and free parking is available with validation in the garage. The parking garage is located just south of the building on Grand situated right between 2323 Grand and 2345 Grand.
